Taking down these statues will not change a thing. It will not make anyone's life better. These statues are not to blame for people's lot in life. Their own choices are to blame for THAT!!

Having read all the inscriptions on this particular monument in the Covington Square and having been confused and offended by the words thereupon, I say let's vote on the issue, and know my vote would be to remove it.
