It is part of History! Let it stay & let us learn from it. Don’t tear it down. Let us learn from it & move on into the future.

We need better History teachers in our schools, they seem to only teach one side of every story, and then mostly not true.

Leave history as is. That statue hasn't done a thing to anyone.

I like the statues. They are part of the history of Newton County since 1906.

No man is perfect, no group is perfect and this certainly applies to the relatively small "cancel culture" vandals. It is wrong, dangerous and hypocritical to hold other people, past and present to a higher standard than one's self!

Let is stay where it is. It is history. It was not put there to offend those who claim that they are offended. This is America, Home of the Free, and everyone does not have to agree on everything, yet we can still unite for the good of our country.

I you people want to remove the statue that badly then you need to try to change to Law. Because as of right now it is PROTECTED by Georgia Statute 50-3-1 and it is AGAINST THE LAW,

I have been a Covington resident for over 35 years. Please do not take this historical monument down, it has nothing to do with slavery.

Nerds to stay we need to learn from our past so that history doesn't repeat itself.

Keep it. It’s history and people should learn where they have came from to where they are now!
