The district needs to demonstrate some respect for the opinions of the dedicated and thoughtful staff of LCA. They work incredibly hard and care so much. They know what they need.

I’m afraid the whole VILS program will fail without Ms. Herring. This is total disrespect and bad for our students. She is the best administrator I’ve ever worked for, with a clear vision for kids and dedication not seen by many.

If she has the confidence of staff, and has proven to be competent to lead her students and staff as APIC. It is clear the she deserves the job of Principal. And, she’s also from the city, so why would the job be given to someone from another city. It doesn’t make sense. Give her the job Superintendent Posley.

Ms Herring is a conscientious and exceptional administrative professional who has proven herself in many ways. She has worked tirelessly in this position and throughout her career to improve the schools she has been entrusted to lead. It would be a major setback to bring in an “ outsider” and start all over again. I support the petition to keep her as the leader we have grown to know and love.

Herring is a phenomenal woman and a hardworking growth mindset leader. She believes in LCA and just like the previous principal believed in her we do as well. I would hate to see LCA lose another great leader to another school.

I have been mentoring new teachers at Lincoln for the past two school years. During that time, Ms. Herring was extremely supportive. She always goes the "extra mile" to communicate and collaborate with everyone. An example of that would be at the end of the school year, she gathered all of the new to Lincoln teachers for next, their school mentors, the SST, me. She did a fantastic presentation about the school and took a lot of time for everyone to get to know each other. She also invited me to virtual meetings to "keep me in the loop." She is the only administrator I have ever worked with while mentoring that took the time to prepare the new teachers and reach out to me without me reaching out to her. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and I know all of the teachers left that meeting feeling fantastic! So, you truly should give this decision a rethink. I was a principal and assistant principal for about 20 years in MPS, and would have loved to have her on my team. It is time for her to be an official principal.

Ms. Herring has been fundamental in my start at LCA. She is well respected, an amazing leader, and fundamental for the success of the school. Beginning the new VILS program at LCA she has been very engaged and worked effortlessly to successfully implement this initiative. Without her the incoming principal will have HUGE shoes to fill. They have already missed hours and hours of planning and communication to staff and families. I was very excited for the start of the school year with such a strong leader. I’m afraid someone new will not be as well respected or able to lead in the same way. This will be detrimental to the future of the staff, students, and families.
