I don't usually want to get involved with provincial politics but this one is too much. We need to respect our democratic process. Due process will need to be observed. An elected official should not be removed unless he/she has done egregious acts so profound that they threaten the immediate existence of the organization. Boxing Ontario board of directors or at least the three of them need to learn something about transparency. Doctors will not support an organization shrouded in secrecy. If there are issues, then start an open dialogue. If you don't like what Mike Power is doing, well, you elected him. And his term has an end. So stop this nonsense please or the doctors will start a petition to boycott covering for Boxing Ontario events. Dr. Trinh

I Strongly feel the coaches and clubs should have a vote and majority say so in this matter. It should not be left to the board members alone. We the coaches who run clubs are the voters, and the ones who volunteer the most time, and the ones who pay the dues, and we the coaches and club owners are the backbone on Boxing Ontario. We elected our president. We should know all that pertains to this case, complete transparency to make a proper informed decision.

As a member of Boxing Ontario I feel that we deserve a full explanation of the Board's reasoning as well as a realistic timeline and say in any actions against our elected President. This does not smell good at all.

As a members of boxing Ontario we voted our president in . In the past when we were unhappy with what the President was doing we as members voted him or her out . I don't want 3 people that are on the board, that we didn't vote in making choices for us . We as members, when give all the facts can make that choice .

The members are stakeholders in this organization too..We would like details of this motion and the reasoning behind this action. Is there an appeals process etc. Why can this not be heard at the fast approaching AGM???

This is another sad day for Boxing Ontario. Ther are good people on that Board of Directors and a good President. I was Vice President of Boxing Ontario. Once I began to listen and speak out for the clubs, coaches, and the competitors I was removed. If they are able to put this one off again Boxing Ontario is no better than the OBA...... Shame!

It seems to me that Big Mike have been doing an excellent job. I think this meeting's been rushed to fast that the board of directors not thinking and not letting the presidents of each Boxing Club know why this meet is need. It sounds someone is trying to pull a fast one at the cost of All members of Boxing Ontario.

Please do not allow this to happen. This shows weakness and unfairness in our system to both board members and club members. I have been involved in this sport since 1980 and have seen members lose there voice for years to a few set individuals. Please let the membership have a voice before allowing this to happen.

I came across this and have no idea what it's about, but as a physician just getting involved in medical coverage for boxing, my experience with Mike has been nothing but positive. He is extremely professional, and his passion for the sport shines through. Hopefully any issues can get resolved in a fair and democratic process.

As a member in good standing for 34 years I demand a meeting be called of the membership so that we the dues paying members can have a say in the proceedings. The membership has not been consulted and although allowed in the rules I protest how it is being done.
