I do not know Tim personally but he was excellent at his job as a lock keeper. It is a sad loss of a fantastic member of staff. He should be given his job back,no one in the past has filled this job role so well.

I was very disappointed to learn how Tim has been treated by the EA. He has always been extremely helpful and professional in his conduct and will be sorely missed unless he can be re-instated.

It has always been a pleasure to see Tim at the lock and I feel the way he has been treated by the EA is far too harsh.

The action taken against Tim Benger is despicable in a democratic country. The EA should be ashamed!

I honestly was gobsmacked to hear of what can only be described as an enormous case of injustice. I have know Tim for many years and have found him to be one of life's true gentlemen. He loved his job and was always promoting Allington and the area. Shame on the person who made the claims and shame on the poor decision made by the EA

Tim is a very just and honest man, someone who does his utmost to serve others; an injustice has been served, a very poor decision indeed...

Is this the way to treat a loyal trusted employee? Disgraceful of the EA.

I have known tom from a very young age, my father has always been a boat lover and I was crew since I was old enough. First met tim when I was 5-6 and I am now 19. I have always known Tim to be a fair and just person, I've known him for so long and spend many long weekends and weeks at allington lock, and in all that time I haven't never seen or heard of him doing anything to sway my judgement of him. I hope this appeal is won

I always have considered Tim a very friendly and courteous Gentlman.
Always very helpful in his job and a pleasure to socialise with as a friend. The EA have really got to use some common sense here.

As a boater and representative of the Medway and Swale Boating Association, I have known Tim for many years, since he started working as lock keeper at Allington. Whatever the allegations were, I have doubts about their veracity. Tim is always courteous, professional and ever helpful. He should be given the benefit of the doubt unless the accuser has proof of whatever he is supposed to have done. I am appalled that he has lost his job and his family are out of their home due to one person's accusations. The EA needs to come to its senses and resintate Tim.
