This is a great location for a charity shop! Local Co-Op, hair salon, newsagent, pharmacy, all drawing in the local community to the parade of shops and the convenience of donating/purchasing.

I briwse and shop here each weekend. It is the only charity shop that i can afford to buy clothes in.The staff are marvelous.Fruendly/helpful/caring so the social aspect is very good for me having anxiety.I fully would support keeping this shop open.

The shop is a vital asset to the community, particularly the residents of Bushmead Court, many of whom are very elderly with mobility issues and are unable to visit the shops in Luton town centre but they are able to walk across the road to look for clothes in the Barnados shop. Also, the quality of goods in the shop is very high thanks to the large number of families living in the local area, particularly babies and children's clothes and toys. I would urge the management to reconsider their decision to close this very important part of the community.

I could not, not, sign the petition to keep Bernardo’s in bushmead. The owner is absolutely lovely, always finding ways to change the shop by keeping things new and fresh and well as always being so polite and welcoming. I visit Bernardo’s approx 3 times a week and each time there is more and more stuff, members of the bushmead community are actively involved in donating and supporting. It would be an utter shame to see the shop close down, it has become part of bushmead.

Shop is situated in the middle of busy and vibrant residential estate. Both young families and the elderly use the local shops, and the team have been working very hard to make this shop a popular place to visit and support.

I think it would be such a shame for those shop to close, the amount of stock they have it is clearly well used by the community.

We met Sue the day we visited the area for the first time, loved the welcome and her encouragement, support and kindness (all *in* the shop) has meant she and the store have been a central part of life in our new community. We are devastated at the prospect of losing the store, no idea what went on before but it is so loved and successful, I can’t believe someone won’t see sense!

The lady who now runs the Barnardo's shop in bushmead has turned the store around. Before she arrived there was nothing in the store worth buying. Now I find something in there every time I go in whic can be 3 times a week. It would be so sad to see it go it's the heart of the parade and needs to stay.
