As a St. Rose of Lima parishioner for 54 years, I am unhappy with this news. My husband and I put 3 of our 4 children and 2 of our grandchildren through St. Rose School. We are sadly disenchanted with the direction taken by the Parish's current leadership. The removal of the IHM sisters is getting close to the last straw for us. A Catholic school without Catholic educators is unconscionable. We hope a deep second look will be taken into this development.

It is a shame that the wonderful sisters are being kicked out after all they have done for our kids and our entire community. It is all the more disgusting to learn that we were lied to, standing right next to the Blessed Sacrament, when we were told they were being with withdrawn by their Congregation.

I agree with the dismissal of the nuns at St Rose of Lima. I was a student from kindergarten until 5th grade when I was asked to leave by Sister Rita because my testing scores were bringing down the average testing results of the school. Additionally, the teaching and disciplinary methods used back then were reminiscent of Hitler's Germany. Once a year St Rose has a field day, a day of fun for students (the best day of the school year for us kids) That morning I was dragged by my ear all the way from the kick ball field to the principals office were I was suspended for that day and the follow day just for having my shirt untucked. While spending my days in the principals office, I was put to file and was not given or I was not able to go out and get lunch. Somewhat problematic for a 10 year old. I do not believe nuns, that devote their life's work to God should be treating anyone like this yet alone a child. I loved St Rose, made a lot of lifetime friends and learned a few things, but I will send my kids to Country Day or Cushman any day over St Rose.

Although my two sons who were educated at St Rose are grown men, it saddens my heart to hear the IHM Sisters are leaving. St. Rose. This is truly a tragedy for the school and a huge mistake. Please keep the IHM Sisters at St Rose.

La presencia de las RELIGIOSAS en el colegio es indispensable,hace que el sentido religioso y moral del Colegio sea mas fuerte,los niños ven en ellas el respeto,el sentido moral y religioso que ha mantenido el colegio.Son una bendicion para toda la comunidad.Que Dios ilumine a las directivas y tomen la decision de dejar la comunidad Religiosa en el colegio .Gracias Hermanas por tan linda labor a traves de muchisimos años,que las nuevas generaciones puedan disfrutar del privilegio de tenerlas.

Their presence is important for a strong spiritual values to our kids. Is always better quality than quantity. I can't conceive our school without them. Sister Bernardette is a bless for our school. Thank you for your proffesionalisim and the values she and all of them teach our kids.

I believe that the sister's of St.Rose of Lima are doing a great job in molding my child and their students into becoming better children of God. I know this because I grow up with the presence of Sisters in my catholic school they are been a great help into what I have become today, so I made sure that my child would also experience and receive the love and care that the Sisters shared to me. And I am looking forward to them sharing more years with my son.

I am so blessed to have my two chidren graduated from SRL. This is a great school .It is a shame that the Sisters have to leave. I can not imagine the school without them.
