My daughter, Rachel, really benefits from the structure and teaching style that Mr. Neronde is providing. I believe SLE is making a big mistake in not renewing his contract for the 2015-2016 school session.

My daughter, Heather Bowman, had Mr. Neronde for her teacher last year and he was fabulous! I would love for her younger siblings to have him as a teacher in years to come!

I think it is a huge mistake to fire (force to resign) good teachers when our schools are already understaffed. I hope the Board and the Principal reconsider their decision and listen to the parents of the children they are teaching. Ultimately we vote for these Boards and pay the salaries of the teaching staff.

Mike has helped turn my scattered little granddaughter into an organized, self motivated student. He's taught her the skills of organization and has motivated her to give her studies her all. Also, she's doing some critical thinking I wouldn't have tought possible last year. Mike Neronde is an amazing teacher! Please reconsider your decision.

Mr. Neronde is an excellent teacher that brings life skills to the classroom. I wish more elementary teachers today did this. He cares about each one of his students and wants to see them strive to the best of their abilities. I know if he had enough time to spend with each one they would far exceed our expectations. Mr. Neronde is Rachel's favorite teacher because he makes learning fun and interesting. She comes home every day tellling us something new that she has learned. He is a teacher that loves his job and enjoys teaching the kids. If there is a child that is having a problem learning something he helps them come up with a way to solve it. I wish he had been our older daughters teacher when she was in 4th grade. She had trouble in math so we researched math solutions and found one that worked and gave that information to the teacher in case their were others in the class struggling, which we later found out there were. She refused to use or even try it. She acted like she hated her job and wasn't going to try and make it better for the kids. Mr. Neronde is just the opposite. These are the kinds of teachers we need to keep our kids wanting more and strive to do better. Their thirst for knowledge, I believe, expands with teachers that make the classroom a fun and exciting place to learn new things. To let such a valueable teacher go is a great loss not only to the school and kids but to the community as well. I hope you will reconsider your decision and allow Mr. Neronde to continue teaching at SLE.

Mr. Neronde was my daughter's teacher last year. He was such a breath of fresh air as a teacher. My daughter loved having him and appreciated his style of teaching and sense of humor. He made learning fun and he was excellent at communicating with the kids on a level they understood and were encouraged to respond to. I also was happy to have more positive male influences at SLE. I was planning to request Mr. Neronde for my son who will be entering fourth grade next year. He currently has Mr. Cassidy and I was hoping he would move on to Mr. Neronde and then Mr. Gerbrandt if possible. How blessed SLE is to have so many so many excellent male teachers to offer the students! I feel these male teachers play a vital role in both my son and daughter's life because all three of these teacher are intelligent, articulate, patient and have great senses of humor. My daughter learned a lot from Mr. Neronde, she was inspired by him and would often come home and share a funny or cute story of something that happened in class. So refreshing for us as a family. I am strongly against losing this valuable teacher. And as a parent of two SLE kids I feel my opinion and the opinions of the other parents should be heard and considered. Kind Regards, Kathleen McNair

My son Sequoia has improved greatly under Mr. Neronde. We had a rough start at SLVE starting at 1st grade. 2nd grade and 3rd were big improvments. 4th grade? Beyond comparison. I can SEE the tremendous growth in my child and couldn't be more proud. The school needs more male influences! I am not very good with words a lot of the time and cringe even more at the thought of a room full of people I hardly know. This just seems extremely unfair that I had to say my little piece in hopes to make a difference for this wonderful teacher. Please. Please find it in good favor to reconsider this decision so that future students may also benefit the wonderful opportunities this teacher will bring to a child's education. Thank you for your time. - Kristi
