History is apart of everyone's heritage, stop being so ignore your children and grandchildren need to remember all that has happened through the years so everyone can move forward. The past happened to our ancestors not us we have come out stronger with knowledge. May people just want to cause trouble no matter what comes along, please stand strong and leave our heritage alone.

Can't erase history by removing statues and monuments it's part of our heritage in our history and by removing these items is not going to change the history and no one these days had anything to do with Civil War or owning slaves so it's time to grow up America. It's our future we should be looking forward too and taking care of our elderly, our disabled and the homeless Americans.

The statue is a memorial to the soldiers that lost their lives during the Civil War. It has no political connotations as such. It adds charm and beauty to our city.
