We can not continue to take away historical statues! This is part of our history! We can not destroy americas history because a few people want to riot and find offense when they don't even understand the history behind these statues!

This world is going to hell in a hand basket, All these protest and people acting stupid is getting. Ridiculous, The statue has been there for years not hurting anybody, all of a sudden it’s a problem, trying to change history and forget what the world has gone through is stupid,

It's a crying shame that you don't hear people asking for the removal of anything about Martin Luther King Jr. He was a great man that stood up for the better of people. Please do your research about true slavery before taking pur little towns history away.

You cannot erase history be removing a statue.....these were veterans just like today's veterans ...they fought for there state, county, country ....
