Our economy on VA Eastern Shore depends on fresh, clean water. Clean water supports our vital aquaculture and fishery operations. A spill, like the one in the Gulf, would devastate the Shore's livelihood and way of life. Clean water is vital to our tourism and recreation as well as the habitat of important threatened, endangered, and fragile species and ecosystems.

BP near destroyed the Gulf of Mexico and it's fishery. I for one don't want that to happen off the VA coast.

A coast on which a large population depends on healthy waters to ply their trade is not expendable! The last undeveloped stretch of the east coast should remain as such.
