We work hard to make our land better, that has always been the core of organic farming. "Organic hydroponic", while a step up the sustainability ladder from conventional hydroponic, cannot offer the same taste, nutrient density, and land stewardship that are the core of organic farming. It should not have the same label as soil-grown organic produce.

Organic = derived from natural living matter.
The soil is alive. Hydroponics is synthetic. Simple as that.

I support small farmers and trust the wisdom of nature that plants that grow out of the earth must continue to grow out of it's soils and not water.

The founding principles of organic agriculture predate the definition of a governing body and it's mandates. Several of these core principles include reducing inputs, and regenerating soils and their microbiology. Hydroponics, while they have a place and serve a purpose, are not by any definition organic.

Hydroponics are not organic. "Clean" maybe, but not "organic". They have to be supplied with nutrients that should be in the soil for normal plants. It's too easy to just use chemicals in the water. It's just factory farming for plants.

Let's keep organic Organic, soil is the key. Letting hydro stay in the label literally waters down the label and misleads consumers. Protect real organic farms

As a certified organic grower and educator, I find it imperative that we maintain the integrity of the organic seal by avoiding dilution. Soil is the backbone of Organics and it must remain that way.
Organic must be grown in soil! Must improve soil!
