Keep Open the Pedestrian Crossing between Caedelyn Park and Pen y Dre

Please don't close it, it will make. Massive difference to the school runs

It's a really useful crossing.

Closing this will divide the village, likely increase parking problems when football etc are on on Ash grove and caedelyn road as the alternative is a long detour. Also likely to limit pram / disabled access to library and village as many would be deterred by extra distance probably not good for local business!

this is a well used pedestrian crossing which must be kept open for the public to use

I've used this crossing for 40+ years and never seen an issue with it. It us a highly valuable pedestrian link to both the villages of Whitchurch and Rhiwbina plus the Park and Playing Fields. Removal of the crossing would be an absolute shame and would hinder pedestrians who have limited mobility considerably

Please keep it open, we use it with our kids to access the parc, especially when we have the buggy, bikes or scooters.

Please keep this open as it is used by our family most weekends and has been used for many years safely.

This crossing is frequently used by residents. It is the easiest way to access the park on a bike from that side of Rhiwbina. The only other access from Rhiwbina village centre involves climbing steps or going down a path from Pantbach Road which is frequently extremely muddy. Pupils also use this path on route to and from Whitchurch High and closing it would involve adding even more time to the walk and involve pupils getting up even earlier.

Please keep the Caedelyn crossing open!

I use this pedestrian on a regular basis to walk my dog over to the park .

My son lives on Pen y Dre and his daughter my granddaughter is severely handicapped with cerebral palsy and this crossing is used all the time by the family how would you expect them to get her wheelchair up and over the rail by means of steps?????

I use this crossing regularly and it would be a great shame if it closed

Having lived in Rhiwbina all my life I have, like many others used this crossing regularly over the years. I have thankfully in that time never heard of any accidents as I believe the people of Rhiwbina are fully aware of the dangers whilst using this crossing and ensure their own children do too...it would be a real shame to lose it.

The crossing is a vital community asset which poses not danger as trains are slow and use signals. It makes no sense on safety grounds to close it and financial reasons should be considered against the accesses needs of young families with prams going to school, the disabled, dog and pleasure walkers not to mention the hundreds whole use the recreational facilities.

Well used crossing. Why close it? Pointless.

It is wrong to expect people to walk the extra distance when there is a perfectly good crossing there already, why try to fix something when it isn't broke??

This crossing is vital for so many reasons! School run, sporting activities & links Whitchurch & Rhiwbina. Everyone using this crossing is fully aware of potential dangers & takes care. We cross busy roads without closing them for fear of an accident.

I live i NW Conneticucut but I grew up in pen y dre and loved Caedelyn park, the crossing is vital to locals who use this park. Keep the crossing.

Can Network Rail provide how many tragedies or"Near Misses " have happened on this crossing over the years
