I realize prisons should not be job markets but unfortunately this area relies on these jobs. The area would be devastated if any of the North Country jails close.
Don't close one of our prisons. It is one of the few things that keeps this area going. I would invite any and all politicians to visit our distressed area. We need jobs here.
Officers are already dealing with such horrific conditions in many of these jails. Closing more Facilities endangers Those Officers by leading to overcrowding and overworked officers.
Please keep our prisons open and our citizens employed. We live in a very economically depressed area and the loss of jobs resulting from closing either of our prisons will have a devastating effect on our community and our businesses.
I'm a corrections officer at one of these prisons and I've been settled in my home for a very long time now I have a wife and 2 step daughters that go to school here and I pay alot of taxes for my property here and I really dont want to relocate us
Keep it open!

My husband works at one of the prisons here and neither of us want to see it close cause then he would have to relocate and we are just starting a family and it is NOT what is needed right now. Keep them open!! They provide so many jobs for so many people in this community!
