why not re-build the school on the same land where it is, not on land that is not fit for purpose.

The road system to and from Ockbrook is absolutely inadequate for such a development. The typical number of vehicles on new build locations is between two and three per household. The prospect of a further two to three thousand vehicles commuting from the proposed area is unreasonable. Even a smaller development of say 400 houses would generate well in excess of one thousand vehicle movements per day. The Highways Agency should look closely at the potential impact and hazard and threat to public safety of any significant development. The development should not be allowed.
This would be an absolute travesty. The village is already over developed as it is. The developers are looking for an easy way in to build a glut of over crowded houses. A terrible idea for all the reasons already discussed. Must not be allowed to happen.

I walk my dog up here every morning and its beautiful.It would be a travesty to ruin the beauty of our village by allowing this to happen. It would be the start of a slippery slope that would lead that area into becoming one big housing estate. It must not be allowed to go ahead.

I know this area. It is a borderline swamp.This whole scheme appears to be the cynical brainchild of people who neither know nor care about the fragile infrastructure of this village. Access would be appalling, a large new estate unsupportable, and if this nightmare scenario came to pass, the new school itelf would be undersized and obselete, anyway!

I am concerned that the school doesn't feel itself to be part of the community and by pursuing this project it has driven a wedge between it and the rest of the village

We strongly oppose this planned development which will lead to further plans to build on green belt around the village and change the nature of Ockbrook significantly for the worse. If the School needs work and money spent on it do this on the existing site.
