Keep Non-navigable Houseboats and Floating Houses on TVA Reservoirs!

Please don't destroy the small communities that rely on the lakes and marinas.

We have a floating home on Norris Lake. Due to the unreasonable TVA sunset proposal, we have formed a non profit corporation to fund raise and fight this, the Tennessee Valley Floating Homes Alliance or TVFHA. Join us on Facebook. "Save our floating homes" group. We are 450+ members strong there. We have gotten to county resolution passed in Campbell County, Tennessee in support of the floating homes and also have one that passed the TN state Senate committee last week. The owe er's of these floating homes have invested their hard earned money for these homes, and now the TVA wants to make them move out that the owners expense. This is not right because if they have abided by the rules then let them stay!

This is our lively hood. We enjoy the lake, it's a family get away.

Please don't do this. This is a part of so many families heritage. How can you take something so wonderful away from the descendants of the land owners who gave up their homes and land? It's just wrong! We have been enjoying this lake for many years as boat owners. These are some of the nicest most appreciative folks on this beautiful lake!

Keep the non navigation houseboats on Fontana Lake.

My family has owned a houseboat on Lake Fontana for years. We abide by all the regulations and the lake is cleaner now than ever. I is a place to make memories with family members ad enjoy each others company. Why would anyone even consider taking the houseboats off the lake?

Ridiculous! Leave things as they are.

With all the land Swain County donated to the building of this dam one would think we have paid the price!!

I have had a boathouse out at Fontana for over 20years I have raised my 4 kids out here so I would like to see my grandbabies get to enjoy it like all of my family has thanks so let them stay please

I have great memories of spending great times with family on the houseboat that has been in our family for years.

Our family goes every year and have so much fun. Please don't take away the one thing we all love doing together!

My family has had a houseboat on Fontana since I was born (25 years)! I can't imagine not having that time with my family anymore or not being able to take my future children there like we've always done!
