Please don't take away the floating cottages. They were there before these laws are enacted so they are exempt from any current law changes.

Against this. These homes are amazing getaway places. No one should have to destroy something that provides so much joy.

This is such a crazy law. Give those who purchased these floating houses a break. If they pass code, then leave then be. These homeowners care for their places just as if they were on land. You don't condemn a land homeowners place for a lose shingle or watershed, enforce REASONABLE laws just as if it is a land homeowner that's understandable and acceptable.

I disagree with the proposed TVA rule to ban boathouses on TVA lakes in 20 years

As long as the houses are in good repair & the owners are respectful of the water & others...I see no reason to remove them. This is a great way for families to spend time together & also to help the economy in the area. Why is it ok to take away a way of life & enjoyment?

I don't have a boat nor do I go out on the lake ofeten, but I think houseboats are awesome and a way for family to be together and have fun!! I'm sure there's alot of ways to bring in revenue with these house boats!!

TVA sunset policy is unreasonable, will cost all TN and VA residents in the end.

These house boats are too widely enjoyed by WNC communities to just throw out. Maybe some common sense hygiene laws or hefty fines for breaking those laws. But keep the house boats.

Should we remind the government that we the people are in control & the government answer's to us the people !! Not the government telling us this is how it's going to be !!!

I have owned two floating houses on South Holston Lake over the last 13 years and enjoyed every minute of my time out there. I and my family have spent countless hours on the lake and followed all tva regulations. I remodeled one completely and have spent nearly $100,000 making my "lake home" a vacation spot for us. Those of us that followed all the rules, work to preserve our pristine waterways, and fuel the lake economy should never be punished. We should be thanked. Regulation, fine, but removal of structures that have abode by all laws and governing bodies should be kept permanently as the part of the lakes that they are.

For forty plus years my family has had a NN (pre-1978) and has worked hard to follow all the rules and regulations that the TVA has required for us to maintain them and now because of others that built NON-PERMITTED floating houses on Norris, the rest of us have to suffer. More importantly, TVA new these were being built illegally and yet you did nothing about it. Was this a case of those responsible for overseeing Norris lake getting paid off to turn a blind eye or were they just too damn incompetent to realize what was going on? Either way, Don't make those of us who have followed the rules pay for the sins of those who chose not to. Sunset the FH's that were illegally built without a permit and leave those that were grandfathered in alone so that we can enjoy them our family for generations to come.

This is such a family friendly environment to live and vacation in and it would be a travesty to take away these properties. I have plans to purchase one of these homes and become a resident of TN, please let cooler heads prevail.

Just because our senators and congress members saw fit to trade US citizens land at fontana for unusable land that was privately owned and not to mention unusable, so that the million dollar houses could be built above alarka whom do not like looking down and seeing our floating shacks, but all the sudden we are the problem ????
