Keep Non-navigable Houseboats and Floating Houses on TVA Reservoirs!

In situations as this, when the will of the people are ignored in favor of a select few, its best to probe for indications of a money trail that could lead to influence proposed petitions such as this one. Who benefits with a vote in favor of removing the floating houses? Who make up the legislating group that can implement new laws which will have devastating consequences for so many? In a country where every individual right is defended in so many instances, how is it possible that we have gotten to a point where our very homes can be taken from us?

My family owns one of these houseboats I don't want to see it get taken away!

Is this for the rich people that live along the lake ? They make no bones about not wanting to see trashy people the lake. If they don't like seeing the houseboats on the lake, why did they move there ?

I have had my houseboat on Fontana Lake since 1965 and been fishing and camping there since 1958. To take away the right to have a houseboat there is JUST NOT RIGHT . This is the place we take our families and friends to enjoy the lake and its beauty and fishing. The MOST SERENE and QUITE place a person would ever want to be. to wake up there on the lake in our houseboat at sunrise is There is no words that can describe the sights or sounds . a person would have to experience it themselves. To take away all of our rights for a floating houseboat is just well ungodly. God gave us this beautiful place. so let us use it. we want our children and grand and great grand children to enjoy and experience this as well. And what about the marina operators . this is there livelyhood. some of them has been passed down through generations. THIS IS NOT RIGHT AT ALL.

they are the ones that caused all this by letting them build the later model live on boats so the old( first ones )should not be affected the ones built in te 60s that are maintained and done away with as the owners dont want them and maybe not let them sell the 4b numbers to someone else with out removing the old boat from lake someone needs to get a hold of congressman and let them handle this they can much better do what is necess ary in this case does anyone have one that will help

Let the families enjoy what they have built +paid for. What is the harm?

At the very least, you must grandfather the houses that are already there or compensate folks for their loss.

Have some damned sympathy for the owners!!!

This is the only place my family (and friends) can all get together and spend quality time with each other. To take away these boat houses would be taking away peoples' happiness and freedom. We should encourage everyone to enjoy the great outdoors! LET US KEEP OUR 2ND HOMES!!

Preserve our summer homes!

They need to grandfather in all existing structures! These are our homes!

To go back and change this policy is nothing more than a money grab and is ridiculous.

why does the TVA want to make such a drastic change all of a sudden? it sounds fishy to me! Families have made such a large investment into these adorable floating houses making them an attraction to visiting Fontana Lake. These investments are not only in their house but it forms a connection and history with our mountain communities for life.

These structures provide an entire ecosystem for the aquatic organisms that inhabit the structures and surrounding environment. Great fishing around someone else's investment. What reason is there to remove them? There is no effect on TVA's ability to generate power. It is TVA's power that needs to be in check on this issue!

Keep the houses, it makes the trip down to Lake Norris most memorable experience.. Theres no reason on being an ass. Let people just enjoy life and live it floating around
