Spent all 18 years of my life on this lake and my dad also grew up here. It would be devastating for us not to have our houseboat!

I have been staying on fontana for the past 60 years. Starting fishing on the lake with my dad and eventually built a houseboat to spend with my family. We enjoy the beauty and the many friends we have made along the way. I do not want to give this up!

We have TVA Numbers for our Houseboat, and we've paid as lot of money to stay in compliance with the TVA rules.

TVA controls the water in our North Carolina lakes to keep flooding down, even when there is no need they drop our lakes especially Fontana to an unneeded low levels. They do not own our N.C. lakes, and because of extravagant houseboats on Tennessee lakes, especially Norris Lake (which TVA let get out of control and did nothing to stop it. Now they are trying to run rough-shod over our lakes. Our N.C. leaders and congressmen need to let TVA know to back off of N.C. lakes. This TVA option would destroy Swain and Graham counties economy. Since they are mostly National Forest and U.S. Forest service land. These counties depend on these lakes for income. Write your Congressmen.

I agree that the boats should comply With environmental issues and should be grandfathered in as described. My family and I comply and respect to the environment and the lake rules. I feel that it is unfair to punish people who just go out to try and enjoy the weekend with family.

I have a houseboat but am concerned about the floating houses community.

I am a grandfathered in TVA number home owner and I think this is horrible and inexcusable !! The is all about the huge houses that have been built not water quality !!!!! Shame on you TVA

In no way would this be fair.If these people have to remove their house boats then nobody should have a houseboat on Fontana.

We have followed all of TVA's rule to have a permitted houseboat on Boone Lake. It is unfair and unreasonable and just plain wrong to try and have these removed. We ADD to the lake, not detract from it.

We enjoy activities on the lake. When families stay in their non navigational house boats they support all the local businesses. It would be ridiculous to punish those that bring business and people to support our lake.

My wife and I purchase this house 11 years ago for our family to enjoy, we couldn't image not be able to go to lake Norris in the summer, it is such as a beautiful lake. We really could not begin to afford the expense of taking a 2100 sq ft floating house off of the lake. The revenue the house rentals and owners bring to the surrounding towns and counties. Please, reconsider, I understand, bringing all the homes up to code.
