Commonsense rules and regulations already exist to monitor the number, appearance, use and safety of the floating houses. They are what make these lakes recreational fun to visit. Take away the floating houses and TVA is left with a bunch of big lakes that nobody but a few fishermen ever visit.

Please keep the houseboats. They bring many hours of fun and encourage relationships for families.

It places hardship on boat owners and dock owners, with no advantage to TBA or water quality.

I have been using Fontana lake since I was born in 1970. The small house boat that my grandfather owned got me interested in this lake and kept me coming year after year. I bought mine in 1996 and it provided many great and inexpensive may for my family to vacation during the summer months. This also brought lots of revenue to Swain and Graham county. I followed all the septic guidelines. This should be an option for generations to come.

House boats have been on that lake for as long as I remember and years before my time. I have friends that have a house boat on there, and they have put a lot of time and money into it. Stop taking things away from people.

As a houseboat owner I want to express my concerns about the changes the TVA is wanting to implement. While I do agree there does need to be some clean up done, and are very willing to do my part in doing so, I absolutely disagree with the twenty-year sunset period!

I am in favor of keeping existing houseboats but not adding any new constuctions
