The impact on families will be huge, as will the economic impact on the counties surrounding these lakes. I'm hoping that local and state governments will step up along with the privates citizens to make their voices heard.

I do believe that if you pay for the house boat or item thats on the water and pay rent for the water spot you should be able to enjoy it after all it belongs to God and no one else and the money should be going to keep the lakes clean so everyone should be ok with it !

I agree with this petition, just because someone thinks all houseboats should be factory made should see just how nice these boats really are.

This lake does a beautiful job of quality control of what is allowed on the lake. Perhaps the solution is to make the other lakes also have certain environmental and quality rules to protect the lake and wildlife. Size, quantity of boathouses allowed, quality of materials, waste disposal including toilet water~ to name a few. It is a wonderful way for families and friends to share time together in their floating home away from home and meet others in a beautiful setting. Thank you for considering other options that allow for a more mindful continuation of this opportunity and investment.

Just another example of useless involvement and takeover tactic by TVA. Leave the houses alone. They contribute to the economy and actually allow people to enjoy the lake. Leave it alone, work on something else. This is not "broken".

Please keep our houseboat communities. For that is what they are – a good and wholesome and clean way for people to enjoy nature and each other. These are true communities in the truest sense of the word.

It kills me to see government step in, after these houses have existed this long. Especially when a person could make these houses navigable, and put boat numbers on them.
