This is not fair and will hurt our marinas and communities that depend on money from vacationers. As a local who has lived on this lake all my life these floating homes should stay. I agree with bringing them up to code for safety but to remove them all together is ridiculous.

Removing the floating homes will be absolutely terrible for tourism. It's one thing to require maintenance or sanitation upgrades but quite another to arbitrarily require the removal of all homes that were built after a certain period. If this isn't regulated correctly, homes that are eyesores and have sanitation issues will remain (generating no revenu to the area in terms of tourism dollars) while newer and highly maintained and attractive homes will be destroyed and removed.
This concern can simply be solved by an annual inspection and permit process that requires a level of sanitation and appearance to ensure that the tourism dollars continue to flow into the community.

This is not right People have spent loads of money on these houseboats to be told they have to be removed after 20 years. At the expense of the owner.

Tva is being grossly unrealistic and unfair in their proposals. We respect our lakes and do not dump any refuge of any type into our yards (lake). Tva allowed us to build on the lake, and now they are changing their minds after we've invested our retirement?
