Floating homes don’t restrict navigation, they are moored in marinas their waste is pumped out, provide a way for middle class to own lakeside homes instead of the rich owning all the lakeside land. Next will the TVA forbid marinas ???

As long as people comply with upgrading floats etc., TVA should not be allowed to take peoples cabins out of the water. They are moored in a Marina and not obstructing anything.

I support the rights of the families who own non-navigable houseboats on Fontana Lake to continue to keep their houses on the lake. Limiting the number of houses on the lake is sufficient. All houses grandfathered should be able to remain indefinitely. It goes without saying that this is an ideal family vacation spot which is vital to the local economy.

Grew up with a boathouse on Fontana. There's nothing better!

These float homes are unique and a great addition to the attractiveness of the lake. I live in Idaho and will visit just to see these floating treasures.

Please save these float homes. They are a part of history and a unique treasure for the lake.

I thought the Fontana families for floating homes should be made aware that 3 out of the 4 TVA board members who sought to delay the decision to prohibit floating homes in hopes of finding a more reasonable alternative-- will no longer be board members due to the Senate's failure to confirm those nominees of the White House. Senator Burr and Congressman Meadows have been so notified.

I think these people need to keep their floating homes right where they are. These people have put a lot of money into these homes and they do contribute to the economy. Their homes are attractive and that adds character to the boat docks. I think they need to leave these people alone and let them live their lives where they are

My Husband and I own a houseboat on Fontana Lake. We and our family have enjoyed the lake for many years. We have spent a lot in upkeep and "rental" for our space on the lake. We are now retired and are on a fixed income. If we have to pay additional fees to TVA, we may not be able to afford our relaxation at the lake. Also if all houseboats have to be removed, we would have to come up with a way to dispose of it as its too big and heavy for a trailer. Please reconsider. The houseboat owners spend a lot of money to local businesses in food, gas, supplies, etc. By removing these houseboats, the economy would suffer also. Thanks.

This will greatly impact the local economy. Our history is WNC is to have these house boats. The TVA has made a lot of broken promises to the people of Swain County....stop now.

I am a floating house owner on Fontana Lake. We need to keep the option for owners and families to have fun and recreation beyond the 30 years.

I am an owner of a Floating House on Norris. After spending a very large sum on this property all these years, and paying my slowly increasing "buoy fee" 12 months a year, I can't believe the tremendous annual fees that TVA plans to charge us in addition ($500. Year, and mine is a small FH. These new fees look very much to be price gouging. TVA please reduce those fees by 50% or 60% !

Spent our vacation on a floating home, most relaxing and enjoyable time we've had. We spent 8 days on the floating home and had quality time with our grandkids. Need to keep these gems, with this crazy world more families should spend their time with their families and this allowed us to do so. KEEP THE FLOATING HOMES!!!!!!!

Those boats are recreational and a joy to the folks that own them.
