Consumers like using cash and there is no current reduction in the use of cash. LIkewise, the move by the banks to get rid of cheques has failed because individuals and small businesses use cheques to pay for services in person and through the post.
Hence we need our bank over -the-counter service to continue to serve their customers.

East Sheen still has a large retired population who are not computer literate. It has a lot of small independent businesses. Forcing owners to travel further afield to deposit takings will make area more dangerous. Using bank machines in the open is not ideal.

I am always greeted by name, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I will NOT bank online, as there are so many scams peppering that medium. There MAY be a bus to Richmond, but one won't be able to 'pop in' at one's convenience.

Please don't do this. It's not all about money. Banks have done enough damage already, they have a responsibility to the community in which they operate.

How will older residents cope with the closing of another bank? With so many email and phone scams, this will remove the one ‘safe’ place for them to seek help on their banking.

I have banked with NatWest all my life and used the East Sheen branch for 37 years. The staff have always been very helpful and charming and it would be a huge loss to the community if it closed. Online banking does not inspire confidence nor give the service one gets in person from the local branch. Please reconsider the decisions to close.

Fear this will mean a change of bank. Have been with the Nat West for 60 years but, with a view to possible problems as I get older, I want a bank I can walk to.

As someone whose grandparents used this branch since the 1950s and then parents and now myself and my siblings since birth this closure would be unbearable. Please consider not just the elderly customers who would be affected but also the young who use the branch for myriad services. Management need to weigh up the significant loss of business which will ensue as a result of closure, the majority of customers have already stated they will switch banks - it's a fact.

The ‘Westminster Bank’ was my grandparents bank in the 50s and my mother’s bank for decades, and has since played a significant part in the community as Nat West. Please don’t abandon all those who still rely on branch support or who use the cashpoint. Thank you
