Save the bank!

I completely agree with my fellow Sheen resident Ms Dutton and her comments that for the elderly, those with poor mobility, disabled or those who run a small business the closure of yet another bank in our town would be a bad move, particularly if one considers the additional need were the Mortlake brewery site ever to reach completion! Further, the cash point at NW is an absolute necessity because it is one of only two available at that end of the high street and ON THAT SIDE of what is an busy, dangerous road to cross, the alternative post office side has poor, single entry side street parking. In addition the cash point at Santander, just down from NW often runs out of cash. Digital is good but I do not welcome a cashless society and this is just one more step towards it.

It would be a disaster for Nat West to close it’s East Sheen branch and would probably result in me changing to another bank altogether after being a customer of Nat West for over 2 decades!!

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They know us personally and we would miss them immensely.

The closure of the East Sheen branch of NatWest will have huge implications for the local community, not least because NatWest have also announced the closure of the Barnes branch too. Mobile banking is great - but not if you are elderly, have poor mobility, are disabled or run a small business. Redirecting people to local Post Offices is not a viable alternative. Please rethink this plan.

The fabric of our high street and the community which it helps deliver is being eroded. This is another blow to East Sheen and its residents. Time to change bank again ....

Another disaster for East Sheen....the only new shops to have opened recently are a funeral directors and a shop that will check your hearing. Banks are an integral part any society and not everyone does online banking...keep it open please. Agt George

My local branch is a valued asset to the local community. It will be a great loss and will severely limit the options for people who prefer banking face to face. Please reconsider.

Please do not close the East Sheen branch of Nat West, I have been banking with it for over 30 years. My elderly parents bank there too and rely on this East Branch.

Local banks are essential to the life of the high street especially for older residents who are not able to do online banking. Please keep NatWest in East Sheen open.

This is a lovely friendly branch and I enjoy going in to make transactions. Please do not close it down...invest in it and make it a more attractive place for the staff and the customers.
