Losing the last remaining bank in Barnes would be hugely detrimental to the large numbers of small businesses who trade in the locality and also to those people - including many pensioners - who prefer face-to-face contact when carrying out financial transactions.

We need a bank in Barnes. This branch is always quite full which confirms this.

a) important for the community on a practical level b) in an elderly community hubs are important. The reason for closing the branch is that on-line banking has changed the landscape of the financial services sector. This does not apply for the 70plus age group of which Barnes has a significant number.

The National Westminster Bank branch is now the only bank in Barnes which can be used (and is used by us) for over the counter transactions such as paying cheques into our accounts. This is an important facility, particularly for those of us who cannot drive. The closure MUST NOT be allowed to happen.

I appreciate the cash machine is staying , but the convenience of having a local branch is significant . I use it once a week & there are always 2/3 customers in the branch . I wonder if just looking at cheque volumes is sufficient in assessing which branches to close.

As the last remaining bank in Barnes, this branch performs a vital service. In particular, the elderly residents rely on human contact to meet their banking needs. Also, our local businesses do too. As a dementia friendly village, the loss of this branch would be a huge blow. I appeal to you to put human and community value above commercial interests.

Closing the branches in Barnes and Sheen will not only leave Barnes without a single bank in or nearby, but also will make it difficult and time consuming to access another bank, especially Hammersmith with the impending bridge closure and Putney with its’ poor bus links. This is particularly harsh on the elderly and disabled people, so much for our caring society !

This is my local branch and it is really good to have access to a bank in Barnes and not be reliant on public transport to get to a branch.

I doesn't make any sense not to have a single bank in Barnes. I do hope NatWest will change it's decision.

Dear Sir / Madam PROPOSED CLOSURE OF NAT WEST BANK BRANCH ON CHURCH ROAD I urge NAT WEST / RBS to reconsider the closure of this branch. If these plans go ahead, the nearest branches to Barnes will be either Hammersmith or Putney - both enormously inconvenient & impractical for any Barnes resident, especially senior citizens. Sincerely Stuart Vallance

This is not the way for Natwest to encourage loyalty among its customers!
