I would love this branch to remain open: the nearest alternative is NatWest in Putney which is less convenient for many reasons, not least of which is parking which particularly affects the elderly. If NatWest Barnes really is to close can the ATM remain?

Nat West made a very strong statement about showing their commitment to the community when Barclays moved out. They now need to show that commitment.

The next bank is in Barnes and Richmond...think about the inconvenience for so many people especially older less able customers.

Very sad for Barnes to lose its last bank especially for businesses and older people and young people.

Not West like all the big banks have a duty of care to the community not just shareholders, after decades of milking the public.

Please, think again, Barnes' last remaining bank branch is an important part of our thriving community and businesses.

My wife and I urge for the Natwest bank to be kept open. We are elderly and find it very difficult to travel as my wife has a disability issue. We need access to a branch as we do not do on-line banking.

We here in Barnes are horrified that our nat west will close next May, no bank in barnes. We have been customers for 50 years and are now worried for all the elderly customers who may have to struggle over the bridge, I could go on. I have spoken to many Barnes residents over the last few days, mostly older people and all are worried. Zac, do your best for us. Denis O Sullivan.

To have no bank in Barnes will be detrimental to people both living and working in Barnes. With Hammersmith Bridge due to close this adds to the necessity that this branch remains open... maybe even a reduced number of days a week?

Please rethink the decision to close down the Barnes NatWest branch. It is the only bank remaining in the village and provides a vital service to those who do not bank on line and struggle to get to branches further away.

I use the branch for PTFA business for the local school which involves bringing heavy amounts of change to deposit. Will need a strong young male treasurer to take over as I can't be taking thousands in change on the bus to Putney. Also, the branch here is busy enough that they have asked me to come outside of lunch time to make deposits as they are too busy to do the counting otherwise.

Nat West is the only bank in Barnes. We need a local bank as there are many residents who are unable to travel or use on line banking.

When Barclays Bank closed in Barnes, NatWest made much of the fact that it was the only bank in Barnes to remain open...!

I was in the bank today and heard numerous customers complaining, in fact every single person who was there at the counter was talking to the staff in disbelief, asking questions about the outrageous decision to close our last bank in Barnes saying it was a huge loss, terribly inconvenient. The whole staff there is really friendly and efficient, we don;t understand we will have to go to Putney or Richmond for our transactions, none of these locations are convenient. The manager I am dealing with for more important matters is highly efficient and extremely good advice, I cannot believe this is happening. Please could your reconsider your decision although we all know it's very unlikely to happen, but we all want to try.

A serious loss for us. we prefer to do over the counter transactions and visit the bank frequently.
Also, what about the local shops?
Surely they need a local branch.
