I do hope the bank will stay. It’s so vital for the community, local businesses and the elderly in particular. I wonder how many local accounts would make it worth it for Nat West?

We need your branch for the sake of the elderly, local businesses and those who cannot do internet banking.

I agree with all the comments that Barnes does need a Bank and not to have one is a loss for the community.

Having a bank in Barnes is essential. Access to facilities such as this bank, would be cutting the vulnerable and less technical savy from the community.

Our local branch of NatWest is the sole remaining bank in Barnes and as such it is an absolutely essential service that our many small businesses and the community at large cannot do without. In particular, the need to handle cash is paramount as this is not a transaction able to be executed online. It is therefore of enormous importance to the hundreds of our small businesses and public alike. It is not a practical solution to use banks in Richmond or Hammersmith as it would be too costly in time and manpower resources, let alone the traffic congestion, forthcoming closure of Hammersmith Bridge for the whole of 2018 and the difficulty and cost of parking. From the security viewpoint it would be most unwise to carry large sums of cash on public transport.
I strongly oppose the proposed closure of this branch and I trust that understanding and common sense will prevail in a decision to retain it. Thank you.

The Barnes branch of Natwest provides a much needed service for local residents, with an excellent team who work in the branch. We urge you to reconsider the decision to close the branch.

If you close this branch I will be forced to take my account elsewhere - please spare the axe. Your loyal manager and staff are a credit and part of the community at Barnes.

PLEASE do not close the remaining bank in Barnes. This will affect so many people, particularly those with limited mobility.

It would be a huge loss to the community to close the Barnes Nat West branch which provides a very necessary service to those who don't do all their banking online. It is always busy. Perhaps they would consider a smaller property to carry on this vital service?

Barnes has just this one bank remaining which is absolutely essential to all our many small businesses and to the community at large. In particular the handling of cash cannot be done online and this is a daily and absolute requirement. I strongly oppose the plan to close our NatWest branch and hope that understanding and common sense will prevail, so please reconsider your proposed action. Thank you.

We urge Nat West to reverse its decision to close its Barnes branch, and for the cashpoint to be retained at the site.

As the only remaining bank in Barnes, NatWest provides an essential and much-valued service.

Closure is a ridiculous situation - the third and final bank closure in Barnes.
I for one are disabled and already find it difficult to get to a bank - in Sheen.

I chose to bank with NatWest specifically because they have a local branch. I will move to another bank if this branch closes.

When Barclays closed their branch NatWest gave their assurance to the local community that they were commited to keeping a branch in Barnes. I am really disappointed in Natwest and really hope they change their mind.
