In the 4 years my daughter was at Calabasas and additional three my son has been there they have had new counselors each year. We've had one good year and thankfully it was my daughters senior year. For our students and continuity keep the good ones where they belong!

As I said in my letter to the superintendant and the board, Lauren Freedman knows how to nurture relationships with parents as well as with students. The evidence of this is in the signatures and comments. I hope she will get the respect she has earned and will be allowed to stay at CHS, if that's where she wants to be, so she can continue to have a positive impact.

We lost enough counselors. One from stress leave, another from a transfer due to stress, the school needs some stability in that department.

Not only one of the kindest people I have ever met, but someone that everyone at Calabasas looks up to and can rely on for advice or even just a little pick me up talk. Do not let it be overlooked the impact she has had on all of our lives. It would be foolish for our school to give her up.

Mrs. Freedman has been such a large part of my experience as a student at CHS. Throughout my past four years of high school she has been so supportive, and always made herself available to me and all other students who need her assistance. I do not know how I would have made it through the college application process or high school in general without her! She is such a valuable member of the CHS community.

This year, I was involved in Every 15 Minutes put on entirely by Mrs. Freedman and just a few others. I didn't know her until this year but she is truly and incredible woman. Not only did she work tirelessly for months on end to effortlessly put on the program, but once the program rolled around, she worked extremely hard in making each student feel important and like they had a voice. She has truly changed the way I see a lot of things and I am eternally grateful. She has touched the lives and hearts of so many students. She cares and makes sure every single students feels important. The thought of her being let go is devastating. She needs to continue her legacy and continue to change the lives of students. She is an incredible person. We love you, Mrs. Freedman!
