Mrs. Freedman has served as an exceptional advisor and mentor to our kids. Although technically Mrs. Freedman is/was not my kids assigned counselor, however she went out her way to support my sons whenever a matter arose. How can CHS and our district expect to graduate exemplary students without Mrs. Freedman who serves as a role model and goes above and beyond for many students? How can the district expect students to connect to counselors without consistency and continuity? OUR COMMUNITY MUST RALLY TO SAVE MRS. FREEDMAN AND BRING BACK STABILITY TO CHS!

12 years ago Lauren Berkson (before Freedman was added) changed my view on education has her student trying to navigate my way through high school and put me on the path to success. I was fortunate to be in her English class for both my junior and senior year. There was no other teacher us students loved more. She was my first true mentor and role model and to see her leave Calabasas would be more than just an "end of an era."

I personally had Mrs. Freedman as my councilor. She changed my life for the better. She always encouraged me and believed in me when others did not. She helped me with facing challenges at school as well as at home. I continue to keep in contact with her, showing she continues to care about her students even after they leave!

Lauren Freedman is one amazing counselor and person. Her commitment to her students is unprecedented and deserves recognition! She is consistent, fair and so knowledgable, that to lose her at the high school level would be a huge mistake, both for the school and the students!

Both my kids had Lauren as a counselor. She's amazing. Would be a great loss to both incoming and existing families to lose somebody with her expertise and knowledge of Calabasas high school so unfair to students that have developed a relationship with her over the past three years to only lose hair in their most important time when they're applying for college. What is the point????

Lauren Freedman is THE reason CHS is such a wonderful school. Her dedication to the students and community make her irreplaceable. If the district has the school's and students' best interest in mind, they will NOT force her to transfer. She has helped Jake immensely and she is not even his counselor, but she is the ONLY one who showed an interest in him. Keep Lauren Freedman at CHS!

Lauren is an asset to CHS that they cannot afford to lose. There are so FEW teachers/administrators that the students really feel cared about by. Lauren is the main one that helps them with whatever they need!

Lauren Freedman has been and continues to be the catalyst to our daughter's success at CHS and, moreover, in her life. Lauren successfully transitioned our daughter into the school mid year as a sophomore. She helped us to navigate the challenges and is always there!! She is amazing and a remarkable leader with a gift for communicating with teens. Please, please, please keep her at Calabasas High! WE NEED HER!!! Thank you very much for your consideration. Please make the best decision for our kids.

Ms freedman is an incredible woman and guidance counselor. I would never trust anyone to be my councilor as much as her and Calabasas high school is a better place because of her.
