You are making a terrible mistake by moving Mrs. Freedman. You are not only cutting a program that has been so impactful on the students, my daughter included, but you are also removing one of the best features of CHS....Lauren Freedman. Shame on you all!
Mrs. Freedman is my son's counselor and has been professional, competent and responsive to questions. Plus, her leadership in the Every 15 Minutes program is commendable and could save lives. LVUSD is making a huge mistake.
In the 4 years my daughter was at Calabasas and additional three my son has been there they have had new counselors each year. We've had one good year and thankfully it was my daughters senior year. For our students and continuity keep the good ones where they belong!
Ms. Freedman has helped me get through high school. Without her I would not know what I need for college and what classes I should take that would benefit my future. Ms. Freedman is the best councler there and I known many who use her services regularly.
Mrs. Freedman was by far one of the best administrators on campus. She was the most relatable counselor and so easy to talk to. Her work in Every 15 Minutes deserves a lot more recognition and credit than she gets. PLEASE DONT LET MRS FREEDMAN LEAVE CHS!
I thoroughly support keeping Lauren Freedman as a counselor at CHS. She was an amazing teacher to my son way back in 2006-2007 (he LOVED her) and in her capacity as a guidance counselor, she has been EXCELLENT. In my work as a private college consultant, ALL my student/clients sing her praises as a knowledgable, caring, and experienced counselor. CHS would be making a terrible mistake to let her get away.

What is going on at CHS? Mrs Freedman was instrumental in helping my daughter through a very difficult medical leave of absence and a key advocate in both of my children's college admissions. Keep her at CHS she is a valuable asset.
