As a college student and Rocky Mount alum, I still remember the impact Mrs. E made on the school itself as well as me and my friends. I was a member of the drama club in 4th and 5th grade with all of my friends and she made it such a great experience. She not only ensured that everyone got a part but also made sure that everyone had a part they were comfortable with. I was pretty shy, so I never wanted a part with a lot of speaking and she made sure that happened. She encouraged all kids to read and made the library so fun, and I still remember her encouraging me to read A Wrinkle in Time in 5th grade because I was an advanced enough reader looking for a challenge. Mrs. E went above and beyond for me so many times, as she has done for countless kids over the years. The drama club, book fair, and everything she does for the students over the course of every school year are so important to the kids, and as a college student I have many fond memories of drama club and the media center that are all thanks to Mrs. E. I hope a position can be found for her because she meant so much to me and my friends in elementary school, and I know Mrs. E will continue to do great things for Rocky Mount and all the students there.

I have been fortunate enough to have known this wonderful woman for 40 years! She is the heart and soul of Rocky Mount! I have witnessed the love, encouragement, and professionalism, Barb E. has shown every day of her life. I know because I was a teacher at Rocky Mount for 22 years of my 30 year career. Please reconsider your decision.

I am a former Rocky Mount teacher who worked with Mrs. E for 17 years. She has been such an integral part of Rocky Mount from Kdg. Paraprofessional to Excellent Positive Discipline trainer to Drama coach to Media Center clerk and so much more. She is like the connective tissue of this school.

She has given soo much of her life to the students and school she loves. Every parent wants their child to have an educator as wonderful as her. Please keep her at the school who loves her as much as she loves it.
