Washoe County School District should not change teacher allocation in mid year. İti is very distributive and damaging to kids moral to lose their teacher just because they are two students short in the classroom... Unacceptable!

WCSD,our children and educators deserve much better than this. The decision to move teachers and children out of classes two months into the school year because of allocations has a negative and lasting impact across the board. I have personally seen kids walk out of their class in tears and parents beyond upset having to discuss this decision to their young children, and I know through the community many schools are having the same gut wrenching conversations. Why can’t this count day happen before school starts? It makes no sense. Please listen and make the necessary change!

Funding is NOT more important than student success. So they've downsized and shuffled students and teachers around to save a few dollars. At what true cost? Soon, more students will move into that school boundary, and guess what? There will be no room for them! The solution? Those kids will be 'overloaded' (bussed to a different school). Then, if an opening becomes available at their 'home school' they will be invited to transfer back, again interrupting their educational and social/emotional needs. It's a shameful practice in the name of budget decisions.

My son attended Roy Gomm and I can’t imagine his teacher having to leave 1 month into the school year. This is outrageous. Please find another solution.

This teacher needs to stay. Two more students could move in anyway. What is the big problem. Upsetting a school already underway into the year is not a good idea.

Students need to feel safe at school and when their teacher is ripped from them for no apparent, logical reason to a child, it has a negative impact on that child and their education for the remainder of the year.

This is just lazy and unprofessional. These decisions should’ve been made before the first day of school. It also concerns me that this is an example of the super attendant’s decision making and only after a month into the school year.

Please leave Mr. V in place and hire a new teacher for the other schools need.

The district is showing a great lack of foresight in removing this teacher for a lack of 2 students.

My son was subject to a teacher allocation change in September last year. It was disruptive and an unacceptable solution to this teacher:student ratio mandate. Taking an important role model from children mid year is unacceptable.
