I dance at Cary Ballet and last year I took a make up class with Mr Willie. I only took one of his classes, but it was amazing. He's one of the best dance teachers I've ever had. He used so much energy in the dance choreography and he encouraged the class to do the same. Hopefully his boss realizes firing him is a huge mistake.

we all love Mr. Willie like even if you don't you do. He created a place for us to not only preform but a place to talk and share our problems. His positive energy made longleaf special. He showed he cared about his students and even people who didn't have him. He was there for us. He taught not only about dance but about life.

When a teacher has such a profound, positive influence on students, the school should do all within its power to keep him. His leaving will be a major loss to Longleaf.

I don't have Mr. Willie at Long Leaf (I don't go there) but I do have him at City Ballet and he is a great inspiration for a male dancer.

I respect any and all of the decisions the administration and board make; however, I love Mr. Willie and I have learned too much from him to see him leave without a fight. Mr. Willie has always been there when I needed to talk to someone and never fails to encourage his students. if he, in fact, does go, I would want him to know how grateful I am for him and all he has done for the students at LSA. thank you, Mr. Willie.

Though I didn't have him for a class, I know he was an excellent dancer and a loving supporter to many students. The few conversations I had with him were enjoyable and insightful. I will spread the word.

Mr. Hinton,
I've never had you for an actual class, but maybe I'll get the chance next year. You're a wonderful teacher, your words and actions are powerful, your exercises open up people and your teaching helps people doscover themselves.
You've been very supportive to others. If you had to leave, I'd miss you, but I'd understand and support you.
You are a wonderful teacher, and Longleaf doesn't deserve to lose you.

Mr. Hinton is an amazing person and always has the ability the brighten someone's day. He's loving and is so full of life and is the only person and the school that gets personal and he allows us to open up to him. An art school like ours needs a person like him because they are good assets. He's like a father figure and treats everyone like he would treat his kids. He has a story to tell and he isn't done telling it.

I am leaving the school next year, and in part I am glad due to some trouble with teachers (some of whom have been asked to leave). This has never been my experience with Mr. Hinton. Although I never had him for a class, I know many people that did, and all of them have expressed their love of his class and how much he brightened their day and the school. When I did interact with him, he was kind, thoughtful, caring, and funny. I know that a reorganization of the school is necessary, but this is not the man to kick out.

Mr. Hinton is a great man, dancer, and role model. Of my short time knowing him, he has taught me so much. He just not only a great dancer but a great human being. I think he is highly qualified for this job and it would be stupid if longleaf let him go. Ily Mr. Willie.

I want to support this cause in any way I can. I'm very oblivious to why LSA would want to get rid of such a amazing role model, dancer, father fiqure and overall person this situation is also very sad it's like losing a best friend

Mr. Hinton is an absolute gift to Longleaf. Whenever he talked to me, he made me believe in myself with more success than any doctor ever could. I know that I will never see him again or hear those words again because of my decision to leave the school. Let me be the only one. Taking Mr. Hinton away from his students, all of whom clearly love him, is an injustice to all of them. He teaches more than dance; he teaches self acceptance. Please don't take him away from the people who need him most.
