KEEP MR. DAWSON AT NEW WEST CHARTER MUSIC DEPARTMENT

Me Dawson has inspired me the most to succeed in music. Unlike our past teachers Mr. Dawson actually set up concerts for us and brought us to festivals. I don't even know why they would fire him. Dr weir never comes and supports our concerts. She doesn't pay a penny for any of the musical things. We have to raise it ourselves. Last year in 6th grade we heard we were having a new music teacher (third one that year) we all groaned and thought NOOO. It turned out Mr Dawson was a cool tall music teacher who had experience in the past and looks like David tennant. Overall mr Dawson taught me how to do better as a student and a person.

New West can't lose Mr.Dawson...he brought joy back to the music department after a very troubling year! He is so hard working, kind, and a fantastic communicatior with students and parents!

Mr. Dawson is one of the main reasons I want my son to continue both music and academics at New West. He has been an incomparably generous, communicative and effective teacher and role model for my 6th grade son.

I love Mr.Dawson. He pushed to be the best as I can be. I took his support and it pushefd me to play the solos in the concert. Mr.Dawson is an amazing teacher and shouldn't have been fired.

Mr. Dawson is an incredible asset to NWC. After two other false starts with other teachers, he has shaped and grown the program with passion, heart, and most of all, success. We would wholeheartedly welcome his ongoing role at NWC.

It's true, I don't remember any other music teacher at New West (this is my family's 10th year here) who kept in such good contact with parents and seemed to do so much in terms of organization and enthusiasm and getting things going. My child loved him as well. I don't know why they chose not to renew his contract, but it seems they could have worked with him on any problems so that there could have been some continuity with the music program, something there had not been at New West. How could there be? And how can New West have a competitive music program if each year there is a new teacher? When I told my child he would not be back, he was very disappointed and said he does not want to do music next year.

New West finally has a music teacher the kids and parents are thrilled with.

Please keep Mr. Dawson, we want him to stay!

Mr. Dawson's committment to the students has been without fail. Please allow him another year to achieve his vision.

Mr. Dawson has been a wonderful asset to the New West Music Department. Both of my boys have grown and Mr. Dawson has made a huge impact on their lives. He acts in the best interest of the children. This is the best music teacher NW has had in the three years I have been there. He is the only one who has trained and taken them to competitions, organized performances at local venues and sought for enriching opportunities. He should be commended.

This is devastating! Mr. Dawson is such an amazing and caring teacher. We need more teachers like him!! Please help him stay at New West!

I'm so angry. Mr. Dawson was a fantastic music teacher. He worked so hard for all of us. This is ridiculous. Dr weir didn't even bother to come to our concert, and she never came to any of our classes. What would she know?

I cannot think of anyone better for this job than Mr. Dawson. Surely you will reconsider.

How dare they, not renew Mr.Dawson's contract, he has done so much for us.
