The arts help build discipline of the mind which is needed throughout life. It teaches the diversity of cultures. It also helps the students see the beauty of the world around them.

Stop cutting the arts. I understand that businesses want STEM educated puddy to graduate into the work force and all, but music is important. I can't imagine my life right now without chorus, or music classes in general. I'd probably be dead, or more likely really sad.

Please keep theses full time positions. Music education is so important and reflects back to performance in other classes. Both do more then full time work for their students. SHS deserves full and complete music programs. I am a parent who cares.

why are the arts always being cut I'm not sports programs? I would bet you that any child that has been an arts program will exceed in the business world as opposed to children that only do sports programs. Yet the arts are always the first programs to be cut in schools.

My 3 eldest grandchildren have benefitted greatly from these 2 teachers. Please don't deny my other 4 the same.

Are the powers that be so completely out of touch with the children and the community that they are willing to go through with this? Perhaps if they would leave their offices/ meetings and actually spend some time with the affected teachers and students, this kind of tragedy could be avoided. If it's a budgetary issue, maybe less waste and mismanagement would be more effective than removing highly motivated and talented teachers. Mr. Albright has been highly instrumental (pun intended) in nurturing my sons musical ability and passion. He is a highly enthusiastic teacher and mentor to these children. It would be an incredible waste of talent to not have him available for future generations at SMS. I certainly hope that those responsible will see the error and rectify the situation.

Mr.Albright was always a favorite of mine, and it saddens me to here that he will with us shorter. He was such a great teacher, and I've heard so many wonderful things about him. Mrs.Walker, though I never had her, I've heard so many wonderful things about her as well. Both these teachers have impacted so many kids lives, it would be a shame to lose them, or even shorten their time with us
