This is to keep Miss. Gibson as our kindergarten teacher the one that has been with all of our children since day one the teacher that has impacted our children's life in more ways than one in this short amount of time please everyone let's fight for our children and what's right for them.
This is my son’s first school experience outside of the home. Miss Gibson has been so sweet to him. He’s coming home so happy and proud to show us his work. She provided a safe and happy environment for him to learn. I’m upset that we were only given a couple days to process this news and that we had no say in the matter.

Miss Gibson is a ray of sunshine and has worked alongside us in coming up with creative ways to engage our son and his bright, inquisitive nature. She has exceeded every expectation. These children have fallen for her as hard as we have and adore her. The first months of public school for Kindergarteners are full of so much change and transition, most of these children have just begun to find a comfort level and routine. To interrupt that for the youngest and potentially most tender children simply because she was the last employee hired, seems short-sighted at best. Could there be an alternate solution that keeps our children with their beloved teacher who they have already bonded so well with? How could we as parents and families hep to make this happen?

Keep her there. When I was in Kindergarden, Our Teacher was leaving to teach second grade. Me and a lot of other children cried and cried. We ended up getting her for our First grade Teacher also. She is not just a Teacher, she also is a Mother figure the kids look up to.

My son takes awhile to adjust to change. He is finally participating in class activities and discussions. I feel that changing teachers would be a set back in his learning at this point.

My daughter was very upset when I told her the news! In the middle of crying she told me that she wanted Miss Gibson to be her teacher forever. She has already bonded to her. This is devastating to her.

Ms. Gibson has made all the difference in our sons transition to the public school environment. A change like this is not in his best interest. Please leave Ms. Gibson at Mehfoud.

My son really likes Miss Gibson. He did not have the best PreK experience in RPS. He describes his days in Miss Gibson's class as "great" and not just "good." Since he has been with Miss Gibson, I noticed how engaged he is in doing homework, counting, reading and how excited he has become to learn. My heart was broken to hear this news because just when I started feeling comfortable and confident that Miss Gibson was a perfect fit, we got this letter that she is leaving. Also, this is such a young age to interrupt their routine. These young 5 and 6 year olds develop a bond and trustful relationship with their kindergarten teacher and to make them build a new relationship with another teacher would delay their learning and impact their trust of adults. At this age stability is important. Miss Gibson must stay and what do we need to do to make this happen?
