Biology is real. Only female humans can give birth.

Such sweeping silencing of women with expert skills and knowledge, who have been asked to speak about issues only relating to females, is exclusion of the most patriarchal kind. Very reminiscent of the silencing of female wise women and herbalists once men decided medicine should only be in the hands of people who had been to university (which did not permit women to study).

The words female, woman and mother are not references to feelings or identities, they are a reference to biological facts. Only females, can have children, only females can be mothers.

Only biological females can give birth. Why is this contentious?

Absolutely ridiculous to attack someone for thinking sex exists. The attack on freedom of speech has really worrying overtones. Spout this new ideology, however unscientific it is, or we'll cancel you, go after your job, attack you on social media...... If there were strong arguments for the anti - sex position we'd be hearing them instead of a flurry of accusations, insults and attempts at silencing those who disagree.

Milli is an awesome advocate for women and their babies. Without mothers getting the respect they deserve their children suffer too.

Biological reality must be maintained. Female bodies get pregnant and give birth regardless of gender identity. Women and mothers exist. Trans and non-binary people who give birth can be described as trans and non-binary. Don't co-opt female language.

Shouldn’t even be an issue.

There us nothing transphobic about the word 'woman'. That million has been attacked fir defending the language to describe female experiences correctly, outrageous!

There is nothing inclusive about excluding women. There is nothing transphobic about standing up for women's right's or the safeguarding of children. The losers here are the people that will potentially miss out on hearing from Milli Hill and will not hear from someone with such a wealth of experience. Show some common sense and use some common decency. Anything less is shameful.

Our language is important. Women and mothers need to be able to name themselves as such.

Midwifery is the ultimate recognition of the difference between male and female. However people might identify, the act of gestating and giving birth is 100% female. To pretend otherwise is ridiculous.

Stop silencing women who defend women's sex-based rights!
