This attempt to silence a women who has done so much in this field for women is abhorrent, abusive and dangerous. She has simply raised entirely reasonable concerns. It is important that such concerns can be discussed for the sake of the pregnant women/people.

Ms Hill is an admirable and distinguished figure in the birthing movement and a completely worthy keynote speaker for the conference.

This is nothing less than sexist, misogynistic bullying of a professional woman who is basically being told to sit down and shut up, or in scarier instances to suffer and die. Anyone that allows this, tolerates or supports this horrific treatment is just as bad as those foul inadequate bullies.

Signing becauseI am a woman, wife, mother, grandmother. And daughter and sister of two wonderful midwives who spent their whole lives caring for WOMEN. No man was ever in their labour wards! Midwives centre women, first, last and always.

Milli makes a meaningful contribution to this issue, only having people who are 100% aligned with some extreme position is going to alienate people.

I was very concerned about this campaign against Milli Hill, and attempting to prevent her from addressing the Midwifery Conference. This assault on free speech should not be tolerated.

Milli Hill speaks the truth. I am a woman. Please don’t let that word, nor my female sex, be redefined.

It is upsetting to see the libel perpetuated against the wonderful Milli Hill and I hope she can be a keynote speaker at the conference.

Milli Hill is a champion of women, it does not mean she thinks those who are not women aren’t also valid and important.

What's the next step after this? Banning all biological women from being midwives?

When a women is being deplatformed from a conference that is 100% is about women and pregnancy then there is something far wrong in the world. When biology and reality have become the enemy and compelled speech and lies are what’s expected we should all stand up and be counted and protect women’s language and experiences.
