On behalf of my family members who work directly with Mr. C, my nieces & nephews who love him as a principal, and based on the love that he showed for my grandmother, I fully support Mr Corbett. When Grandma A's house burned down, he was there to offer support and strength to an elderly woman in her time of need. That goes above and beyond the calling of the principal. That shows you what type of a man and what type of a community member he is. Based on all of these things, sign, and I stand with the Archibald Clan in support of Mr. Corbett to stay in Oakley, and to keep setting an example to always do the right thing.

Mr. Corbett was always there for me. When I needed help, someone to talk to, struggling in any subject, always available and he never once turned me away. He always found a way to help me solve my problems!!!! He loves that school and all the kids!!! I don't think he should be taken away from a job that he does very well!!! He always finds a solution to the problems. He knows when to lay down the law as well. He's a great leader and he sets good examples for every kid in Oakley middle/high school. KEEP CORBETT!!!!!

Michael Corbett is a fantastic leader who knows and genuinely cares about each faculty/staff member and every student. It is a great injustice to him and his family the way he is being railroaded by the administration.

Stop taking what is good for this school and our kids away. These kids need a principal like Corbett. I stand behind him and vote he stays. Leave the man alone and let him lead this school and our kids.

Mr. Corbett is always available, he doesn't hide out in his office. He genuinely cares about our kids. Those who are complaining always have something or someone to complain about. Maybe they should leave and let Mr. Corbett stay! He's one of the best principals we've had at OHS!!!

The problem lies with he school board. I don't know Mr. Corbett very well but I have heard how poorly this was handled. May I just point out that issues such as this began with the election of a new board memebr, who also happens to be a prominent member of the community. As a former Cassia County teacher, I sat in a meeting with him and received an email from him, in regards to a concern I addressed; on both occasion he basically said the board makes the decisions. And that is pretty much what has happened since he became a board member. They have essentially eliminated any teacher voice and have become more like a distatorship, making decisions and then simply telling people that's what's going to happen. One example, there always used or be a calendar committee which consisted of a rep from each school. That rep would go to a meeting where 3 calendars were presented, they would then take those calendars back to their respective schools and get staff input and then the most voted on calendar was accepted. That was eliminated with the new board member and now the board just makes the decision on the calendar and does not care about, nor consider, input from district employees. This particular board member has also belittled teachers at board meetings. This issue is just further proof that the board members will do what they want and don't care what people think. The only way that will change is doing things exactly like this...STAND UP TO THEM. Have a voice. Wait outside that boardroom and demand answers. And then when they are up for reelection vote them out! Don't just pick people based on their last name. Vote for people who actually value educators and will listen to feedback.
