Combining boys and girls tennis is a ridiculous idea. Already, very few students can make the team. This will cut those already small numbers by half.

Each team deserves its own coach, own full-size team, and own season - having to share will diminish both for no good reason.

During the 2016-2017 academic year, some high school tennis teams were required to share their courts with other teams, due to high school expansion projects that sacrificed previously-existing tennis courts. Clearly, this shortsighted plan to have girls and boys play their tennis seasons concurrently will undermine the success of both tennis programs and adversely affect the amount of practice time and coaching that tennis teams, girls and boys, currently enjoy.

Moving the girls to spring creates a major conflict with limited court space and will ultimately destroy the program.
