Keep McIver's Ladies Baths Women & Children Only

My female relatives living in Sydney enjoy these Baths. There are many Men Only Clubs which women don’t attempt to overrule.

This would be a terrible loss for some women. Trans rights cannot be at the expense of women’s rights.

There are 35 other ocean pools in the Sydney area alone for males to swim, and yet they bully women to swim here. It's disgusting nthey have been captured so quickly.

Please keep this wonderful pool a safe space for women & girls. It’s invaluable and important for all females now as much as it was in the past to continue to be able to enjoy the water and swimming without fear or male gaze.

Many men used the penis and their stronger body as weapons of violence against women. A women's space can't be safe with male bodies in it.

There must be places for women only

Female only spaces are vitally important to the dignity and health of women. I implore you to stand with women and their right to swim in a space free from males, no matter how they identify

I support McIver’s Ladies Baths continuing to operate as a female-only (and transexuals who have fully transitioned) swimming pool and all steps being taken to ensure any exemption from discrimination legislation is observed and extended if necessary.

Guys already have enough places in the world. Women do not! It’s time to take a stand and preserve some thing for Women!

This is heartbreaking. Please consult with and consider the needs of women in this issue.

Why are people so strongly against women having their own spaces? What is so threatening to men about this?

Women have been and should always be entitled to sex-based, single sex spaces afforded by being female. Never should a biological man be afforded these same rights on the basis of safety for women and girls.

Female only spaces are important!!

We’re women have little exclusive space - especially sporting facilities - cricket, football etc tend to be male. Important for women to be able to meet each other without husbands, sons and aggressive swimmers

Women are allowed spaces without adult males.

I used to swim at McIvers as a safe and friendly women-only rockpool and meeting point for women, so it should remain like that, only for those born female!

Women need their own spaces, if you have a penis you are not a woman.

Women deserve women-only spaces.

With so many religious and misogynistic issues that exclude Women and girls, they still need a safe space to swim.
