Single sex spaces matter for the privacy, dignity and safety of women and girls. Stop giving away away our hard-won rights!

Can't women and girls have anything anymore? It's disrespectful and utterly deplorable that they would allow exhibitionist fetishistic men a platform to speak over the women for whom this space was intended.

I'm signing because women have fought long and hard for sex based rights. Any male bodied person who says they identify as a woman would understand why it matters and would not be fighting to get into our spaces.

I will always support female only spaces. We will not be invaded by men.

Biological women deserve safe spaces away from the male gaze. Someone not respecting that is the last person to be trusted to share their pool.

Across several years of my early 20s, I swam here as a way to connect with my body and the ocean in a non performative way. I was recovering from an eating disorder and am a sexual abuse survivor. Having a women’s only space was healing and sacred. Language matters. I would be terribly sad to see the language twisted here so that any one who wants to claim they identify as a woman, could gain access to this special place.

I grew up in Sydney desperate to avoid the male gaze. Women deserve a safe space for themselves!
