Why can't women and children have a place where they don't have to worry about their safety? Yes, not all men and yes, some women- but mostly men, let's be honest any danger in a swimming bath or changing room is hugely reduced if we take men out of the equation.

Females have a right to safe sex-segregated spaces, and have fought hard for this throughout generations. Trans identified males also have a right to safety, and their own safe spaces, which they are free to create. There are plenty of public spaces which are open to all sexes and people identifying as any "gender". Women and girls have the right to go to a space free of males, however they feel about themselves. It's a basic boundary, and the ridiculous outcry from so-called liberals online just goes to show how little respect and care exists for basic sex-based rights which serve to protect women and girls.

As a Sydneysider I’m sick and tired of the wokeism in the sex vs gender politics debate. Girls and women have every right to have select male free zones and this is one of them. All trans people have to live their lives in peace but that doesn’t mean I believe in taking away girls and women’s privacy, dignities & safe places.

Where is the harm in retaining this pool for women and children only? Women and girls have the right to set boundaries. This area has been women's space since the women of the Eora nation birthed and bathed here. Have some respect!

My sisters and I have swum here for many years, brought by our mother and grandmother. We are an Islamic family and being able to swim freely and safely in the ocean not a private chlorine pool with the sun shining on us and the salty water has been a beautiful family activity. Our religion forbids for us to be with men, even though we understand transgender people exist. Please do not take away this one piece of "Aussie culture" that we love so much. Not just us, but other women too from backgrounds like ours.

I most definitely support this initiative as we need to maintain the safety and comfort of the women who have been swimming and looking after this sacred place for so many years.
