They had a great plan to protect the woman that have come there. It’s very sad they’re being forced to allow anyone who says they identify as a woman come there. Men will lie just to have access to come there and take away the comfort of all the other women.

Some spaces are for all comers, others are not. This pool is set aside for women, i.e. the female sex. The pool staff have buckled under public outcry accusing them of being hostile to trans people, this petition is intended to show them there there is support for them sticking to their initial stance.

Self ID will allow all men access. And we will have no way of stopping them. We won’t be able to challenge them. The pool will just be unisex. Heartbroken that women are treated this way

I thought the compromise of allowing transwomen with reassignment surgery was perfectly acceptable. However, in the age of self ID what is to stop non- trans men coming here as a joke to laugh ridicule and lust after the various female forms. It is cruel to deny this occurs. My teenage daughter is incredibly self conscious and would love an all female swimming area

Allowing members of the male sex into this traditionally female-only area risks the exclusion of women from orthodox religious communities as well as women who are suffering PTSD from male violence and abuse. It WAS a safe space for females - if you allow male-bodied (ie pre-operative) trans identifying males in, this will have been ruined. There are loads of mixed sex swimming beaches and pools - let the male people swim there.

As you know, men aren't women and nobody can change sex. It's sex, not gender which women are raped for. Women are right to be wary of men especially men intent on getting more access to women and children. Women have a right to say no to men. Tbey have said no.

How dare you steal the spaces which are solely for biological women. Women who have suffered trauma, ptsd, violence, rape at the hands of MALES. Women who for reasons of religion or conscience do not want to share space with males. Women who simply want to be in a male free space. Men pretending to be women are no better than blackface. Any women who aid and abet them should be ashamed of themselves.

While I am for inclusivity in most circumstances, there are specific cases in which the interests of biological women diverge from those of transwomen: cases in which women's biological attributes make them uniquely vulnerable or put them at a distinct disadvantage.
