Watching this story unfold with horror from England. At least now we know that in Australia the rights of female rape victims or religious minorities are second to the feelings of men. This is progress?

It’s unconscionable to remove women’s protections.

I lived in Randwick in the early 2000s. This is such a regressive step. Vulnerable & disadvantaged women in particular need to be respected within society.

I swam in the baths on a visit to Coogee. I think the baths should be able to retain their tradition which allows some women to enjoy the water while feeling safe.

This is not about excluding trans people, it's about rejecting self ID and therefore protecting women only spaces

Female-only spaces are important to me and many other women and girls for privacy, safety, comfort and dignity.

Women and girls need safe spaces from male bodied when swimming. It's not rocket science to know why.

The misogynistic narcissists screeching about their exclusion from a women only pool could swim in the many other pools. What about the women and children who dont want to swim with men?

Keep men out of women's spaces.

Keep men out of the women's pool. And yes I do mean the men who say they're women too! How dare you do this to women?! If a man is demanding access to female only spaces what does that tell you about him? It tells me he should be kept WELL AWAY from those spaces. Use your brain!

We rely on science and taxonomy to navigate a complex world, TransWomen are not W. They are Men who present as Women. This is a subset of Men. TransWomen have the same rights as gay people under the Equality Act. To give them access to Ws sport, prisons, positive discrimination jobs, safe spaces etc, causes huge problems for W. To force people to change language is also oppressive. TW are not W. They are TW. A completely different category.

Show some sense, just let proper women use it not some bloke in a skirt who just wants to cause problems because he fancies being called Doreen this week

Women and girls must be allowed to say no to men, regardless of how those men identify. Please don’t exclude women from their few safe spaces.
