The PC world has gone completely mad. If you have female DNA you are FEMALE. If you have male DNA you are MALE. Please retain the McIver Ladies' Baths for women who are genetically female and (young) children only. If you do not, instead of furthering the cause of women you are actually setting it back centuries. The fight for freedom from harm based on gender has been long, and in many places in the world is sadly still going on (eg many Arab and some African and Asian/Indian areas). If a woman cannot feel she is safe in a space, which has traditionally been male free, then what really was the historic (derived from the French word for story) struggle of the Suffragists etc. for ??

The Baths must be restored to a Woman only space immediately. Capitulating to male-sexed bullies is a tacit endorsement of sexism, misogyny, lesbophobia, islamophobia, anti-semitism, ableism, colonialism, and a desecration of the sacred history of the waters as a place of birth. You are telling mothers they may not have a place to take their children away from men; you are telling teenage girls they can’t have privacy away from the male gaze; you are telling survivors of male violence and abuse they must be around men. This cannot stand.

As a former Muslim, I know how vital it is that women retain our spaces. Trans identified males have no right to suggest that their exclusion from these spaces is an attack on their human rights. They're in dire need of some humility and a strong dose of reality.

No individuals will loose out as there is a co-ed facility close by. Some groups of women will loose out because of religious and medical issues. It needs to remain women only

This is a case of securing peace of mind where there is NUDITY concerned. Person not raised as female would have never experienced changes to their body as a girl/women has. Hence dealing with patriarchal expectations. NO entrance to persons not fully female or born so. Society is not gender equal minded as yet!
