Being a woman is biological, not a feeling.

I have been coming to this wonderful pool for years and would hate to see it handed over to men.

More evidence of women having to move over so men feel good about themselves. So sad please at least have a real public discussion about this before it’s given up bits too important

I swam here regularly when living in Sydney during 1990s. I also came to this beautiful women’s only venue to drum

I think penises have enough privilege in our society. If we can’t have women only at least no penises please

Please can we just keep some things as they were! This body of water has so much history. So much so, that it is a sacred place for many generations of women. Thank you!

There are 100s of beaches in the Sydney metro area. Surely the many women of different ages and cultures who use the Coogee Women’s Pools have the right to a safe space, a space for female-born women only.

This is an essential Community assert because just as bathrooms are gendered, for some people the intimacy of bathing ithe same. There actually is a compelling case to retain some gender segregated assets

It’s been a very popular and established women’s only pool forever and a day. Leave it alone.

My family have visited for over 20 years, We all feel very uncomfortable at the thought of allowing MEN into our safe place. This must not go ahead

Please. This is just not right. We don't have bow to every one else's needs - as women we've been doing that for too long. Sacred spaces for women and children are as old as time itself and play an important role in bigger ways than we acknowledge. Please dont let men - however they ‘identify’ into this sacred space.

I have been swimming at the pool for 35 years started coming with my mum. I am starred at by men as I enter leave pools for my body shape this pool is my safe space where we talk with one another freely and welcome the insecure. How can we tell if a man is being truthful of his 'gender' and men have "men only clubs' and they are less likely intimidated. T he historical and 'safe' space will be forever corrupted as a result. My heart pains at this thought.
