There is no need to close off all access to this sandbar. Some of us look forward to walking along the edge of the sandbar with our children without the worry of broken glass or other dangerous debree. This is the safest place I know to take my children. We have made memories collecting shells for for their fish tanks. Years down the road, after they move away, it will remind them of home. Please don’t take away what few safe places we have to make memories with our children.

I think that the area needs to be kept open to the public but also believe that everyone using this wonderful area respect it and keep free of cans, bottles and their trash, which has a tendency to ruin it for everyone.
