While I understand administrative decisions happen above the student involvement level, this particular decision isn't in the best interest of the students, the institution, and the La Verne COL community at large.

I could have bought my books online and for much less the entire time I attended ULV COL. I ALWAYS bought my books at the bookstore, despite paying more, just to drop in and see Marlene.

It goes without saying that Marlene Sheridan is the biggest asset we have at the College of Law. Terminating her would be the worst decision that Follet could make. She needs to keep her job, and in doing so Follet will keep their business. If she is lost, then they should just shut their doors. That space without Marlene would be worth more sitting empty or as storage then as anything else.

I would not have have purchased as many things as I did from the bookstore at ULV COL if it wasn't for Marlene. She treated everyone like family, and made the bookstore into a gathering place for students and faculty alike. Even to this day, I return to the school to visit Marlene. Her impact on students and alums alike is integral to the success of the bookstore, the school, and each student's lives.
